The need.
Software in production needs reliable infrastructure: servers, networking, virtualization, databases, logs, backups, monitoring, hardening. For many companies the problem isn't choosing the tools, but putting them together in a coherent, repeatable, and well-maintained way. When operational pressure grows, hand-stitched infrastructure stops holding up: incidents become service downtime, logs vanish exactly when you need them, and post-failure rebuilds become long and fragile.
The solution.
M4SS designs, deploys, and maintains the infrastructure for the client's production software, from virtualization to load balancing to the database to monitoring, with configuration described in a declarative and repeatable way. We do it for our own S451 platform and we do it for our energy clients. Infrastructure code is versioned, hardening is centralized, observability is continuous. Hosting can be on-premise at the client's site or in a data center.
Technologies and approach.
- Ansible: declarative, idempotent, repeatable configuration.
- Proxmox: virtualization.
- HAProxy: load balancing and TLS termination.
- PostgreSQL: reference database.
- Vector and Grafana: logging, metrics, continuous observability.
- Centralized SSH hardening, versioned user management, security by default.
- Hosting in a data center powered by certified renewable energy, or on-premise at the client's site when requirements call for it.
The infrastructure of the S451 platform and that of our energy clients are managed with this same methodology.
